The Tom S. Gettys Center has always been more than a building, it’s the flaming heart of Rock Hill’s creative spirit, a gathering place for artists, storytellers, and dreamers alike.
Now, that heart is at risk. But with that risk comes the chance to build something even stronger.
A movement is rising, led by artists, powered by community, and rooted in the belief that creativity should never be silenced or sold. The Save the Gettys Foundation was created to protect that legacy and keep the Gettys Center in the hands of those who cherish it most.
We haven’t reclaimed the flame yet. But together, we can.
Every act of support moves us closer to a future where the light of the Gettys Center shines brighter than ever.

MISSION
The Save the Gettys Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the Tom S. Gettys Center—a cultural landmark and sanctuary for creativity in Rock Hill, South Carolina. As developers threaten to erase this pillar of artistic heritage, we stand united in resistance. Our mission is to reclaim the building for the community, preserve its legacy, and ignite a creative revolution in the Carolinas.
